Postcode
Enter a house number and postcode and click on the Get Address button to retrieve the address.

If the address includes a house name, please add this to the first line of the address after retrieving the details.
Japanese Import Search
You can optionally enter the odometer reading. A section will be added to the Japanese Import Report that shows any odometer information supplied to BIMTA.
Note: There is an additional charge for this.
Japanese Import Search
Enter the odometer reading and specify if the reading is measured in km or miles.
Japanese Import Report
  • Pass - Indicates if the vehicle was deregistered prior to export from Japan.
  • Fail - Indicates if the vehicle was not deregistered prior to export from Japan.

  • Pass - Indicates that the odometer reading was as expected at time of export from Japan.
  • Fail - Indicates that the odometer reading was not as expected at time of export from Japan.

  • Fail - Indicates that the vehicle did not have a finance agreement recorded against it prior to export from Japan.

Branch
If you belong to a large organisation with multiple locations you may have a branch number. Enter it here.
Japanese Import Search
Enter the vehicle identification number. This must be exactly as specified in Japan and may include the hyphen character (ie, A00-000000).
Vehicle sourced from
If you select 'last keeper' then you must enter the last keeper's name and address (minimally their house number and postcode).
Current mileage
If you check the Mileage box then you must enter the current vehicle mileage.
Finance Agreement Date
Enter the date of the finance agreement, NOT the date of the first payment.
Finance Agreement Number
Enter the number of the finance agreement. This number is printed on the agreement document.
High Risk Period
Enter the number of months that the vehicle may remain at high risk. For example, if the vehicle is classified as High Risk and there are 6 months remaining on the finance agreement, enter '6'.
High Risk Type
The high risk type is specified in the vehicle's Gold Report. If required, you can enter additional information about the type.
Mileage
If you want the report to include a history of recorded mileages then:
  • Check the Mileage box.
  • Enter the mileage in the Vehicle mileage field.
There may be an extra charge for the mileage check. Refer to your contract with Experian for more information.
Number of certificates required
Each person that requires access to the e-series product will need a security certificate. Enter the number of certificates you need. We will explain how to install your certificate(s) after we open your account.
e-mail address
We use your e-mail address as your user ID for our Online Customer Service. Please enter it using only lower case letters.
Pay by Direct Debit
Click on the link to open a window containing an Adobe PDF version of the Direct Debit form. Print the form, complete it, and post it to: Business Support Accounts, Experian Automotive, Talbot House, Talbot Street, Nottingham NG80 1TH.
Manufacturer's Approved Program/Brand
Select the Manufacturer's Approved Program or Brand you want to use for this check.

For Finance Houses and Insurers, the Brand you select will be included on any invoice written.

For motor dealers, when you order a certificate you may have the option of branding it using a style sheet supplied by your Manufacturer's Approved Program.
Vehicle purchased from
Enter the name of the person you bought the vehicle from, ie the last keeper, or the name of the dealership.

This is retained for information only.
Reference Number
Enter the reference number that you have allocated to this vehicle. You can use letters and numbers, but not special characters such as !"£$%^*()+¬`=
Data Insurance
Select the level of data insurance appropriate for the value of the vehicle.

The data insurance protects the insured for specific financial loss due to Experian Car Data Check providing inaccurate or incomplete data. For further information, click on the 'terms' or see the FAQ section of the online help.
Vehicle identification number (VIN)
Enter the VIN of the vehicle.

If you enter the VIN for a vehicle manufactured less than one month ago we may not have received its VIN data from the DVLA yet.
V5 registration document available?
If you answer Yes then be sure to complete the V5 Details section of the form, using the information on the V5. If you answer No and you do not own the vehicle then you cannot order a VMC certificate.
Event Date
Enter the keeper date you require. If you enter a value before the vehicle registration date or after today's date a warning message will be displayed.
Values
Check the Values box if you want the report to include information about the vehicle's market value. This includes the model and trim the valuation is based on and:
  • Its trade value
  • The average mileage for the model
  • Its trade value with the average mileage or the mileage you entered
There may be an extra charge for the valuation information. Refer to your contract with Experian for more information.
Experian account number
When you opened your account with Experian we gave you a unique account number. Enter it here.
OLCS and password link
We automatically register you as an OLCS user when you open an Internet account. We use the e-mail address you provided as your OLCS ID. We use the password you specified on the Internet account opening form.
Name (of the last keeper)
If you bought the vehicle from the last keeper then you must enter their name, ie this field becomes mandatory.

If you have the V5 enter the registered keeper's name as it appears on the V5. Also enter the registered keeper's address details.
Prepare a VMC Form 1?
If you answer Yes then be sure to complete the VMC Form 1 Details section of the form.

A VMC Form 1 is a vital part of the VMC system and must be completed each time a vehicle is purchased or taken into stock. For more information please see the VMC User guide.
Stock number
You can optionally enter the number or code you use to identify the vehicle within your business. This may help make any documentation on the vehicle clearer.
Number of previous keepers
  • If the vehicle is new, enter 0 (zero).
  • If there has been one previous keeper then enter 1. You also need to enter the last keeper change date from the V5 and the last keeper's name and address.
  • The number of previous keepers is backfilled from our vehicle database. If there has been a very recent change of keeper we may not have been informed by the DVLA. Please check this against the V5 document and amend as appropriate.
Authorised instigator
Normally this means you, so enter your name. The instigator is the person responsible for the query. If VMC have any questions this is whom they?ll contact.
VMC membership number
When you joined the VMC they gave you an account number. You may have many VMC member numbers associated with your Experian account. Pick yours.
Last keeper change date
Enter the last keeper change date from the V5.

The last keeper change date is when the DVLA changed their records. It is not necessarily the same as the vehicle purchase date.
Name & Change date (for the previous keeper)
Enter previous keeper's name and change date from the V5.

You can only enter a date if the number of previous keepers is 2 or more.
VRM region check
If the data is available then this tells you where and when the VRM was first registered.

There may be an extra charge for the region check. Refer to your contract with Experian for more information.
Body Style
The body style of the vehicle as reported by MCIA.
V55 Form Type
The DVLA description of the V55 form type is:
V55/1 For pre-completion by the vehicle manufacturer and import concessionaire.
V55/2 For the registration of new vehicles where form V55/1 has not been pre-completed by a manufacturer or import concessionaire - only used by independent traders who import from abroad.
V55/4 Used where V55 / 1 or V55 / 2 is not applicable, for the registration of new vehicles, e.g. personal imports, prototypes.
V55/5 For the first registration of used vehicles.
AFRL Automated First Registration and Licensing scheme.
Vehicle Type
The vehicle type may be a motorcycle, moped or tricycle.
Style
This field indicates the style of the vehicle.
MOT Document Number

This can be found at the top of the computerised MOT document.
V5 Reference Number

This can be found halfway down, (right hand side) from the front page of the V5 document.
Email Address

Choose an email address from the list to receive your PDF or enter one manually.
Franchise

Choose the manufacturer who carried out the check.
PDF Key

Enter a password if you wish your PDF to require a password to open. You will also need to re-confirm the password in the field below.

Schemes
Your search criteria can be saved as a scheme which can then be used for future searches. To create a scheme, click the New Scheme button on the left, enter the scheme and search details then Save as New. To update an existing scheme, select it from the drop down list, update the search criteria then click Update Scheme.
Username
You can get a report that lists all users by selecting All from the list list, or for a specific user by entering the user name in the box. Alternatively, you can get a report that displays the combined usage from all users by selecting Total from the list box.

Report Types
If you know the report type, enter it into the first field. Alternatively, select a type from the drop down list.
Report Branch
If you know the code of the branch that recorded the interest, enter it into the first field. Alternatively, select a branch from the drop down list.
Filter Own Interest
You can elect to include or exclude Own Interest reports. Own Interest reports may be where both parties are the same account, or where both parties are the same account and the same branch.
Report Status
When reports are created their status is 'New'. A report can be marked as 'Complete' or, if you want to work on it later, marked as 'Pending'.
Review Date
You can mark a report with a (future) date for review.
